Our Editor Rachel Khiew had a quick chat with Mr Nicolas Chesnier, APAC MD of Sisley Paris, during his recent visit.
What are your three brand management philosophies?
Firstly, focus on your brand’s vision and objectives. Too much noise can mislead the brand. At Sisley, we stay focused and pay attention to what we want to achieve and achieve through innovation.
Secondly, stay curious. We remain curious about all things on earth, not only personal grooming and cosmetics. Open innovation, creativity and entrepreneurship can only achieve that through an open mind.
Thirdly, have big goals. At Sisley, we have a great ambition for excellence in product development. We only launch a product when we are delighted with it and believe it makes a difference in the user’s life.
How does Sisley Paris remain competitive in the luxurious skincare market?We are known as a research-based organisation, and we do just that. We focus on what we believe: science. It is always research objectives before costing. That way, we are confident in the products we introduce and that our customers and users feel the same. We remain relevant by providing the result.
Tell us about Sisley Paris in Malaysia.
Malaysia is a developed market that continues evolving. We have been growing steadily, have launched a standalone salon in Kuala Lumpur and are working with several great partners to expand our reach. Our focus is always on delivering supreme value to all our contact points.
What is the Supremÿa lotion?
It is a night lotion meant to prepare the skin for optimal receptiveness of the Sisley Paris products you apply next. Together with the Supremÿa At Night, Supremÿa Baume and Supremÿa Eye Serum, they form a vigorous skincare routine for night repair. We believe the nighttime is an essential period for restoration and repair.
