29 October 2026- Kaspersky has introduced a free online Cyber Risk Heatmap designed to help organisations understand their cybersecurity position, identify potential security risks and determine which areas require greater attention.
As cyber threats continue to evolve, businesses face growing challenges in protecting their digital environments. Risks can emerge from employees, devices, networks, cloud systems and incident management processes, making it important for organisations to understand where their vulnerabilities may lie.
The Cyber Risk Heatmap is a questionnaire-based evaluation tool developed by Kaspersky. It takes approximately 10 minutes to complete and provides organisations with an overview of their potential cybersecurity risk areas.
The assessment covers six key areas:
- Human and endpoints
- Mail and network
- Cloud and workloads
- Attack surface
- Monitoring and investigation
- Incident management
Based on the answers provided, the tool generates a personalised cyber risk heatmap showing the potential level of risk across these areas, together with an overall risk score.
Organisations can also download a free personalised PDF report containing their results, key findings and practical recommendations to help guide their cybersecurity priorities.
Kaspersky explained that the Cyber Risk Heatmap is designed as a high-level evaluation tool rather than a technical audit. It does not replace penetration testing, vulnerability assessments, compromise assessments or detailed security audits. Instead, it helps organisations identify potential areas that may require further attention.
“Stronger cybersecurity starts with knowing where to focus. Our Cyber Risk Heatmap helps organisations identify potential risks and set clear priorities, with personalised reports and practical recommendations tailored to their needs,” said Yana Shevchenko, Head of Corporate Product Marketing at Kaspersky.
Through this initiative, organisations can gain a clearer understanding of their cybersecurity position and take more informed steps towards strengthening their digital protection.
Businesses interested in understanding their cybersecurity risks can explore the Kaspersky Cyber Risk Heatmap through its online evaluation tool.
