Kuala Lumpur, 16 August 2021 – Entrepreneurs Foundation Malaysia, also known as Yayasan Usahawan Malaysia (YUM), announced today that it has launched a new e-magazine titled ASIA CONNECTS. Dedicated to inspire, champion and amplify the voices of Malaysian entrepreneurs, the e-magazine provides a multi-dimensional platform for professionals to delve into the world of entrepreneurship, to avoid common pitfalls, and to build a sustainable business.
With the support of the Ministry of Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives (MEDAC), this free resource is another effort by YUM to build a collaborative network between small and medium Enterprises (SMEs) and Entrepreneurs, in both private and public institutions, across Southeast Asia.
Through ASIA CONNECTS, YUM aims to bring the business community closer together, from business owners, entrepreneurs, CEOs of large corporations, to affluent and noteworthy individuals, and even the average consumer. The e-magazine will provide insights into some of the brightest minds in the business, enabling entrepreneurs to learn and grow at every step of their journey.
ASIA CONNECTS inaugural issue, Remarkable Resilience, features a number of industry heavyweights in the public and private sectors, including YB Dato Sri Dr Haji Wan Junaidi, Minister of MEDAC; Malaysia’s Queen of Entertainment turned entrepreneur Dato’ Sri Siti Nurhaliza; and Joel Neoh, Founder of fast-growing online payment app Fave. The e-magazine’s first issue echoes the strength and continuous innovation of SMEs, characteristics that are essential in building a solid community. Apart from this, ASIA CONNECTS will cover insights as well as entrepreneurial tips and advice on what the business community should adopt in order to experience sustainable growth.. These articles will provide entrepreneurs the motivation, empowering them to achieve unlimited possibilities.
“At YUM, one of the key missions that we have been yearning to accomplish is to connect business owners to each other, allowing them to communicate and share their experiences. In order to champion this objective, we decided to start a new project, an e-magazine. Through this initiative, we want to be the voice of Malaysian entrepreneurs, providing them with a platform that connects them with numerous private institutions and key policy makers. Thus, ASIA CONNECTS was born,” said Mr. Nitesh Malani, the Founder and Chairman of YUM.
He further added “I believe there is plenty of room for improvement in support towards micro, small and medium enterprises (MSME), which can only bew achieved by having a two-way communication channel. We want this e-magazine to be an inspiration for entrepreneurs and a source of information for MSMEs. With that in mind, we have included a glossary for our readers’ benefits, along with dedicated QR codes within each article that redirects readers to relevant websitesIt is my sincere hope that this e-magazine can be a go-to resource for all business owners, in Malaysia and one day, across Asia.”
